TMS hires new executive director

TROY — Troy Main Street (TMS) Board of Directors has announced that Nicole Loy has been selected as the executive director of the non-profit organization .

Troy Main Street is dedicated to strong economic development, planned historic preservation, and programming with the goal of creating a charming, prosperous and interactive downtown.

Loy comes to TMS most recently having been the assistant director of Student and Alumni Affairs/Academic Advisor at Wright State University. She brings extensive experience in event planning, volunteer recruitment, marketing and public relations to the position.

“Troy is already a special community with its own unique opportunities, charm, and history. I’m thankful to be given the opportunity to make a positive impact, and I look forward to doing my part to continue to strengthen the community,” Loy said.

In addition she has experience as the volunteer coordinator with Downtown Xenia Now, a Main Street affiliate. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from The Ohio State University and master’s degree in Education from the University of California, Berkley.

“Nicole brings a special set of skills to the position that makes her an excellent fit. We are excited for what the future holds with Nicole advancing our vision of creating the most desirable downtown destination in the Midwest,” said Ben Redick, president.

Loy will begin her new role on Oct. 4.
