Student inducted into honor society
BATON ROUGE, La. — The following local residents recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.
Trelissa Lavy of Pleasant Hill was initiated at The University of Findlay.
Kirsten Bell of Tipp City was initiated at The University of Findlay.
Jake Eier of New Carlisle was initiated at The University of Findlay.
These residents are among approximately 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.
Students enroll at Ohio Christian University
CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The below local students enrolled at Ohio Christian University for the fall 2017 semester and are among the new students who began classes Aug. 30.
Morgen Grunkemeyer of Piqua. Grunkemeyer is majoring in Early Childhood Education.
Logan Harris of Piqua. Harris is majoring in Sports Management.
Lauryn Rutan of Troy. Rutan is majoring in Psychology.
Blake Wright of Piqua. Wright is majoring in Sports Management.
