NEW CONCORD, Ohio — Brad Donathan Jr. of Tipp City gave a research presentation during Muskingum University’s Undergraduate Research and Scholarship Week on campus.

Donathan presented “Acute Phenylalanine Injection Reduces Tissue Dopamine Content.”

Undergraduate Research and Scholarship Week is a capstone experience for students from a variety of disciplines at Muskingum University.

Wasson honored for academics

TIFFIN, Ohio — Jarett Wasson of Tipp City was among about 75 students honored April 27 at Heidelberg University’s annual Student Awards Celebration.

Wasson, a senior majoring in Psychology and Criminology, received the Outstanding Graduating Senior in Criminology during Heidelberg’s celebration of academic, athletic, service and leadership achievements among individual students, student organizations and faculty members.

Tyler inducted to honor society

TIFFIN, Ohio — Hunter Tyler of Tipp City, Ohio, is among a total of 33 high-achieving students in Heidelberg University’s Class of 2018 to be inducted into the Honor Society, the university’s only all-scholastic honor society.

Tyler, who is majoring in health science, was inducted during Heidelberg’s annual Academic Excellence Recognition Dinner on April 28.

To qualify for the Honor Society, the students must rank in the top 15 percent of the graduating class.

Local students complete degrees

ASHLAND, Ohio — The following students completed their Ashland University degree requirements and will graduate during commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 5, 2018.

Nicole Casner of Fletcher will receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Casner is majoring in Nursing. She is the daughter of Jonathan and Gloria Casner of Fletcher. Casner is a 2014 graduate of Bethel High School. Casner is graduating with Cum Laude honors.

Tyler Henry of Covington will receive a Bachelor of Arts degree. Henry is majoring in Sport Communication and Religion. He is the son of Michelle Henry of Covington. Henry is a 2014 graduate of Covington High School. Henry is graduating with Cum Laude and Gamma Alpha Kappa honors.

Jenna Schieltz of Troy will receive a Master of Business Administration degree. Schieltz is majoring in Executive Management.
