URBANA — Urbana University, a branch campus of Franklin University, has announced the expansion of its UrbanaWORKS employer partnership program through its newest partnership with the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce.
Through the announcement, Troy Area Chamber of Commerce members have access to a tuition discount to Franklin University and its branch campus Urbana University, as well as access to a scholarship for employee dependents to attend Urbana University as a full-time resident student.
Chamber members can use their tuition discount toward associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in programs such as business administration, public administration, accounting, HR, marketing, IT and computer science. In addition, Troy Area Chamber of Commerce members can apply their tuition toward master’s and certificate programs such as the master of business administration, master of public administration, and master of marketing and communication.
With a growing portion of future jobs predicted to require highly developed talent, developing internal talent not only proves more cost effective, it maximizes employee satisfaction and performance while minimizing turnover and knowledge loss.
By providing financial access to education through its partnership with Urbana University, the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce adds to the area’s economic prosperity by arming its members create a highly engaged, more productive workforce to enhance organizational reputation, create or maintain a competitive edge, and boost the bottom line.
