TROY — Miami County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Zachary Spade, 28, of Troy, after nearly an hour standoff at 21 S. Crawford St. on Wednesday night.

Spade refused to come out of the home for nearly an hour, ignoring police orders to come out of the house. Spade was inside the Crawford Street home with his 3-year-old daughter at the time of the incident. No one was injured.

Spade was charged on Wednesday with misdemeanor aggravated menacing by county law enforcement.

Spade also had two counts of misdemeanor domestic violence from an Oct. 29 incident in the 1900 block of Shaggy Bark Road, Troy. Spade allegedly assaulted his grandmother, striking her on her head at the home, before fleeing to a bar in Troy.

Spade remains in the Miami County Jail with $50,000 bond for all charges. His pre-trial conference was set for Dec. 31 in Miami County Municipal Court.

On Thursday, Troy Police Department confirmed they found 65 year-old Travis Owens, who was believed missing, after he left his son’s home on West Street in Troy.

Officials later determined Owens got into a verbal argument with his son and left the home willingly.

Owen was later transferred to a homeless shelter in Dayton.
