Information provided by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office:

Oct. 20

JAIL ISSUE: Amber Bennett-Perez, 38, an inmate at the Incarnation Facility was charged with complicity.

OVI: Jared Clark, 30, of Bradford, was charge with OVI and traffic offenses.

Oct. 21

VEHICLE: The sheriff’s office assisted Troy Police to recover a stolen vehicle at Wendy’s on West Main Street.

OVERDOSE: A deputy responded to the 3700 block of Burton Road, Casstown, in reference to a male with a possible drug overdose. When a deputy arrived on scene, medics were in the process of transporting the male to the hospital. No drug related items were located on scene.

Oct. 22

TRESPASS: Damian Elliston, 24, of Piqua, was charged with trespassing in the area of the Miami County Fairgrounds.

THEFT: A deputy responded to a theft complaint in the 11000 block Versailles Road, Newberry Twp. The reporting party provided suspect information and this case is pending at this time.

THEFT: A resident in the 100 block of Smithfield Street, Bradford, reported his camper was broken into over the weekend. A TV/VCR was stolen and camper door removed.

BURGLARY: A deputy responded to the Eagles Park in the 2000 block of Troy-Urbana Road, Staunton Twp., for a burglary complaint. No items were removed from the property.

PROPERTY: The deputy on patrol at the Farrington Reserve located a trash bag with new lawn mower parts.

FAILURE TO CONTROL: A deputy responded to the 3700 block of Burton Road, Casstown, on the report of a hit skip accident. After further investigation, Michael Melton was charged with driving under suspension and failure to control.

Oct. 23

THEFT: A deputy was dispatched to the 500 block of West Monroe Concord Road on a theft complaint.

SCHOOL ISSUE: A deputy was advised by a Bradford High School administrator that he was informed of a situation where a student made some form of a comment about a school getting shot up. This matter was further investigated and found to not have been a direct threat of violence that was made by the student.

ASSIST SQUAD: A deputy responded to the 10000 block of Fenner Road, Newton Twp., in regards to an assist squad. Upon arrival, the victim was found to have fallen off a ladder inside the building and struck a piece of metal. The victim suffered a head laceration and was transported to UVMC by Union EMS.

SCAM: A scam was reported by a Bradford resident.

MENACING: A deputy responded to a menacing complaint on North Street in Fletcher.

DISTURBANCE: A deputy responded to the Health Partners Free Clinic in reference to a verbal disturbance. After an investigation, no charges were filed.

FRAUD: A resident in the 1700 block of State Route 48, Newton Twp., reported a possible fraud.

Oct. 24

DRUG CHARGES: A traffic stop near Upper Valley Medical Center was conducted. Two male passengers were incarcerated for multiple drug related charges. Kody Williams, 25, of Troy, was charged with third-degree tampering with evidence, fourth-degree felony possession of LSD, fifth-degree felony possession of cocaine, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
