Committee meeting canceled for rezoning issue


Rezoning of 10.2 acres on Peters Road delayed

TROY — The community and economic development committee chairman Bill Twiss canceled the Monday meeting to review the rezoning of 10.2 acres on Peters Road from county zoning to R-4 single family residential district.

The meeting has not been rescheduled.

The rezoning issue was recommended by the Troy Planning Commission. Council held a public hearing on April 15.

The applicant is Gen D LLC owner Bart Denlinger.

The land is north of The Heritage at Troy Country Club subdivision. Denlinger plans to develop a subdivision of 22 lots on the property.

•The utilities committee will meet to provide a recommendation to Council regarding authorizing the Director of Public Service and Safety to advertise for bids and enter into a contract for the Water Plant Freight Elevator Repair Project at a cost not to exceed $95,000. The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall.

• The utilities committee will also review a recommendation to Council regarding authorizing the City of Troy to participate in cooperative purchasing through the Miami Valley Communications Council, and authorize the Director of Public Service and Safety to execute any documents that may be required.
