THEFT: A subject reported his medication was stolen from his residence while he was out of town on June 27 on the 100 block of Carr Street. No suspect information at this time.
DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a domestic dispute at 6:30 a.m. on June 28 on the 600 block of Wood Street. The male half was intoxicated, and officers stood by another subject was en route to pick up the male subject. He continued to argue with a female subject and kept trying to drink while officers were there. He was arrested for disorderly conduct after several warnings and incarcerated. Brady R. Pooler, 24, of Piqua, was cited for fourth-degree misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
A male subject was warned and arrested for disorderly conduct at approximately 8 p.m. on June 28 on the 700 block of Young Street. Kenneth A. Nash, Jr., 30, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence and fourth-degree misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
PRISONER TRANSPORT: Two subjects with active warrants who were incarcerated in another county were transported to the Miami County Jail on June 28. Zachary A. Harris, 22, of Piqua, was picked up for first-degree misdemeanor theft. Adam R. Vestal, 35, of Dayton, was picked up for first-degree misdemeanor possession of a drug abuse instrument.
A Piqua officer met a Shelby County deputy near the county line and took custody of subject who had a Piqua warrant on June 30. The male subject was handcuffed, checked for proper fit, and transported without incident. Matthew G. Johnson, 36, of Piqua, was picked up for first-degree misdemeanor theft.
BREAKING AND ENTERING: A caller advised a male subject was seen in a vacant house at approximately 1 p.m. on June 30 on the 300 block of McKinley Avenue. The male subject was arrested and charged. Steven D. Jones, 49, of Piqua, was charged with fifth-degree felony breaking and entering and fifth-degree felony drug possession in connection with this incident.
WARRANT: Officers responded to the report of a male subject in the area of West Grant Street and South Roosevelt Avenue with an active warrant for his arrest at 7 p.m. on June 30. The male was located and found to be in possession of suspected narcotics and a large amount of cash. The male was arrested and charged with drug-related offenses. Marquis D. Purter, 31, of Dayton, was charged with third-degree felony tampering with drugs and fourth-degree felony trafficking in drugs in connection with this incident.
Gary F. Weichbrodt, 49, of Piqua, was picked up on a warrant for first-degree misdemeanor non-support of dependents and first-degree misdemeanor theft on June 30.
