TROY — A Friday morning fire on Sheridan Court displaced a family of seven, days before Christmas.
Miami County 911 Dispatchers sent fire crews to the home on a report of smoke and flames coming from the garage area of the home around 7:30 a.m.
Assistant Chief Gary Stanley of the Troy Fire Department said that when fire firefighters arrived, they found smoke and flames coming from the home and that all occupants were out of the home.
“Our crews made a quick attack,” said Stanley, “and knocked it down.”
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the family.
No injuries were reported.
