TROY — More than 30 capsules of heroin was seized and four people were arrested after Miami County Sheriff’s Office detectives and deputies executed a search warrant on 622 S. Union St., Troy, on Tuesday.
According to the press release, the search warrant was the culmination of a several week narcotics investigation conducted by detectives involving the trafficking of heroin.
Detectives seized 30 capsules of heroin, syringes, and other paraphernalia related to the preparation and sale of heroin.
A 10 month-old child was present, which resulted in the mother, Erica Jones, 32, of Troy, being charged with child endangering. Miami County Children’s Services was contacted and the infant was placed into the care of a relative. Jones was also charged with trafficking in heroin, possession of heroin, tampering with evidence, obstruction of official business.
Martin Niccoli, 34, of Troy, was charged with permitting drug abuse, obstruction of official business, and tampering with evidence. Niccoli also had an active Miami County warrant for failure to appear on a theft offense.
Diana M. Roberts, 39, of Troy, was charged with obstruction of official business.
A fourth suspect, William V. Javier, 28, of Troy, was taken into custody by Montgomery County authorities and incarcerated in the Montgomery County Jail. Detectives have filed a warrant against Javier for trafficking in heroin and are in the process of making arrangements for him to be returned to Miami County.
