All artificial arrangements must be in a vase, hanging device, or on a monument saddle. With mowing season soon approaching, cemetery rules prohibit glass containers, wire, toys and figurines that interfere with mowing and/or trimming. Please be aware of updated rules and regulations.

NASA program to be offered

TROY — WACO Learning Center will offer a new aeronautical program to families with early learners designed by NASA. Fun with Flight is a collection of six STEM learning modules based on children’s books.

Each module focuses on a single children’s book, followed by a STEM thematic lesson. Hands-on activities will engage the child as they make discoveries about Gliders in Nature (Form & Function), Balloons (Sinking & Floating), Parachutes (Fluid Thickness & Drag), Kites (Surface Area & Lift), Helicopters and Airplanes (Force & Thrust), and World Flyers (Geography & Global Trade).

These six lessons will take place from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on March 8, 10, 15, 17, 21, and 24. A $35 materials fee will cover all six modules. Children ages 4-6 can register by calling Nancy Royer at (937) 335-9226 at WACO Air Museum for registration. Class size is limited.
