MIAMI COUNTY – A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Co. Rd. 25-A and Farrington Road saw three, of the four, victims transported to Upper Valley Medical Center.
The crash occurred just after 8:30 p.m. Friday when one of the vehicles, which was eastbound on Farrington road, apparently failed to stop at a red light, crossed into the intersection and stuck a vehicle that was northbound on Co. Rd. 25-A.
Initial reports from the scene indicated that the driver of the eastbound SUV may have suffered a seizure. It is unknown if the reported medical issue played a part in the crash.
The female driver was transported, as were the driver of the other SUV and a six-year-old passenger. None of the injuries appeared to be serious. A two-year-old in one of the vehicles was not injured. She was cared for at the scene by a deputy sheriff until her grandmother could pick her up at the scene.
Covington Fire Department provided mutual aide to Piqua at the scene while both Covington Rescue and Piqua Fire medics transported the crash victims.
The crash is under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
