Webb to speak at breakfast

TROY — Jane Webb, the brainchild of The ‘67 Quilters, will be the speaker at the monthly veterans breakfast at the Miami Valley Veterans Museum at 9 a.m. Nov. 1 at 107 W. Main St., Troy.

In addition, the Piqua-Lewis Boyer Daughters of the American Revolution will be serving breakfast.

Webb wanted to honor her brothers and all veterans, in particular one from the class of 1967. She recruited a few high school friends. Then, sitting at K’s, Webb welcomed a large number of quilters with willing hearts and hands to bring her dream to life. Word spread to many classmates with a heartfelt desire to be part of a very special tribute. Classmates from all over showed up. The common factors were the veterans and expressing respect and gratitude for sacrifices made during the Vietnam era.
