BNC exhibit continues

TROY — Featuring the whimsical clay bird artwork of Bonnie Scott and photography of Tom Hissong, “Discovering Nature With a Camera,” moments in nature captured through a naturalist’s eye is on display at Brukner Nature Center.

Ohio is home to beautiful and remarkable natural wonders that can be discovered 365 days a year.

Hissong is an award-winning nature photographer who has made many exciting discoveries through his camera lens on his way to learning all that he can about Ohio’s natural heritage.

The exhibit is free with paid admission to the nature center. All sales of the photographs and bird artwork throughout the exhibit will support the mission of wildlife conservation.

Art for All event seeks works

TIPP CITY — The Tipp City Area Arts Council in collaboration with the Mayflower Arts Center will offer its Third annual 6×6 Art for All! event.

The opening reception for this year’s event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11 5-7 p.m. at the Mayflower Arts Center, 9 W. Main St., Troy.

All artwork will be sold for $20; you may purchase raffle tickets at the opening reception for the opportunity to have one of the first 20 pieces of art sold. Artwork purchased during the opening reception will remain on display through the final reception to be held on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. Art will remain on exhibition throughout this time. Both receptions are free of charge and the public is invited.

Golden Aged Gardening offered

TROY — The Miami County Master Gardener Volunteers will present “Golden Aged Gardening” at the next session in the Coffee with the Master Gardeners series on Nov. 3 at 10 a.m. The session will cover tools, methods, and other strategies to use to make gardening easier and more enjoyable as we age or for those that are experiencing limiting mobility.

The session will be held at the Extension Meeting room on the ground floor of the Old Courthouse in Troy at 201 W. Main St. The cost is $10 and pre-registration is required by Nov. 1.
