Area students present research

TIFFIN — One hundred and twenty-five students presented their research April 11 as part of Heidelberg University’s 25th annual “Minds@Work” Student Research Conference.

Among those presenting were Brandon Magee of Covington, a sophomore studying criminology, who presented “The Belizean Barrier Reef: Notes from the Field;” as well as Jarett Wasson of Tipp City, a senior studying psychology and criminology, who presented “Changing the United States Police Forces.”

Heidelberg hosts the Student Research Conference annually each spring semester as a way to increase student interest and knowledge in academic research and scholarship.

Brucia receives scholarship

TROY — Krishna Brucia of Troy, an incoming member of The Ohio State University class of 2022, has been named a Land Grant Opportunity Scholarship recipient. The Land Grant Opportunity Scholarship is part of a financial package that meets a student’s full cost of attendance for up to eight semesters. The scholarship was started in 2005 with the goal of selecting at least one recipient from each of Ohio’s 88 counties.
