TROY — Manpower’s Troy office honored Arc Abrasives with its Safety Partner Award. The award recognizes the company for its ongoing commitment to providing a safe working environment for employees.

“Manpower takes workplace safety very seriously, as there is nothing more important than ensuring the safety and health of our employees,” said Tom Maher, president. “Arc Abrasives is also a strong advocate for on-the-job safety and is adamant about providing a safe work environment. They are a true safety partner and very deserving of this award.”

The Safety Partner Award was developed by Manpower in an effort to raise awareness of workplace safety. Manpower’s safety coordinators work with employers to implement a comprehensive safety training program. The training program focuses on educating employees and raising awareness of safety issues to prevent accidents. The criteria for receiving the award includes:

• below industry average OSHA Incidence Rate;

• no OSHA citations for the calendar year being reviewed;

• must be true safety partner with Manpower in word and deed.
