Information provided by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office:
MOWER:A deputy was dispatched to the 2800 block of W. Main St. in Troy, Ohio in reference to a theft in progress of a riding lawn mower.
GRASS DAMAGED: A deputy responded to the listed address on a report of a criminal damage. Upon arrival the deputy spoke to Nathan Paulus who stated someone had damaged his grass and landscaping. He said that he was on the school board which recently made a decision to not renew the athletic director’s contract and that people were not happy with that. He said that when he woke up today he noticed that someone had damaged all of his flowers and it appeared that someone took weed killer and tried to write something in the lawn. Mr. Paulus was concerned due to another board member having an incident at her home. There are no suspects at this time.
MOWER MISSING: A deputy responded to 1500 block of Troy Urbana Rd, located in Staunton Township, for a theft report. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with Eric Moore, the reporting party.
The reporting party informed the deputy he had his lawn mower sitting outside his residence. The last time Eric saw the mower was on Thursday of the past week. Eric stated he was out of town for a few days and on the listed date, he realized the lawn mower was missing.
HOOD GONE: The reporting party, located in on N. County Road 25-A, Troy, reported someone stole the hood off of his GMC pick up truck during the above listed times. There was no other property was stolen, and that he has only had this truck for two weeks.
BIKE STOLEN: Katina Martinez reports a theft at the Miami County Courthouse. Upon arrival, Katina told a deputy she had court this morning, and someone stole her bicycle during the above listed times while it was outside. Katina told the deputy she did not see anyone around her bicycle going in or coming out of the courthouse. There are no suspects or leads at this time.
HEROIN AND FAKE PLATES: A deputy initiated a traffic stop on a white van for fictitious registration.
The stop resulted in a charges for possession of heroin and fictitious plates on N. Market Street, Troy.
OVI: Dispatch advised a caller stated a vehicle was traveling south bound on Interstate 75 and the operator was consuming alcohol and was intoxicated.
A deputy initiated a traffic stop at the 64 mile marker on S. Interstate 75 on the listed vehicle. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Charles Bollenbacher. The operator of the vehicle was cited for OVI and open container and released to a sober and valid driver.
DEALERSHIP TARGET: A deputy was dispatched to the above location in reference to an attempted theft. Overnight, somebody attempted to remove the wheels and tires off the listed vehicle. During the process the passenger front window was broken out and the door frame bent. The wheels had locking lug nuts and it is likely the suspect(s) broke into the truck in an attempt to locate the key. The theft attempt was unsuccessful and the suspect(s) left the scene.
TIRES DAMAGED: Three Bradford residents reported their tires slashed on Oakwood Road.
BURGLARY: A resident in the 7000 block of Rangeline Road, Union, reported someone forced entry into her residence while she was not home. The suspect stole jewelry from her bedroom. This case is pending further investigation.
MISSING CAR/PILLS: The reporting party called to report that her daughter took her car without permission Friday.
While speaking with her she stated that she also took a bottle of Oxycodene. Piqua Detective Weber contacted the deputy and advised they had, Avonlea Adams in custody. She was in custody on a theft charge their department handled. They located a bottle of Oxycodone on her persons. The prescription on the bottle was for the reporting party.
BUSINESS BREAK-IN: A deputy responded to the Hershey Bar and Grill in Bradford after an employee discovered that the building had been broke into. This incident is pending further investigation.
BAND ITEMS GONE: The reporting party reported the listed items stolen. He advised his band was playing at the Great Miami Adventures canoe rental on Ross Rd. on the evening of June 20. When they were done playing he placed the listed items behind the stage. When he went to leave, the items were no longer there. The reporting party has no leads or suspects at this time. Case pending.
CAR STOLEN: A deputy responded to 130 West Smithfield, Bradford on a stolen vehicle complaint.
