Oct. 24

SEX OFFENDER SWEEP: A deputy attempted an address verification on a registered sex offender at 1186 S Main St. in West Milton. After knocking on the door several times with no response, the deputy was able to look in several windows and see that the residence was empty. Case pending.

SEX OFFENDER SWEEP: A deputy checked the home of 627 Adams Street in Piqua to confirm the address of a sex offender. It was discovered that the sex offender registered at this address reportedly no longer lives here. A written statement was obtained from the current resident.

Oct. 25

JAIL ISSUE: A deputy was dispatched to the Miami County Jail in reference to a drug offense call. Upon Further investigation, correction staff had located a white powder substance in an inmates property. This case is pending.

DISTURBANCE: Deputies responded to the 5400 block of Rudy Road, Bethel Twp. for a possible disturbance. The deputy spoke with a female who stated her child’s father had changed their daughter’s school bus drop off to this address. The deputy spoke with the resident and she had stated the female had come to the residence demanding her child back. It was determined the child in question did not get off the bus and was returned to school. The homeowner wished for the female to be trespassed from the property. This was conveyed to the female and she stated she understood. The child in question was located safely back at the school and the matter was also explained to the Bethel SRO.

Oct. 26

OVERDOSE: A deputy responded to 25 Swailes Rd, Concord Twp. on the report of a male overdosing. The male, Kaden Stambaugh, was unresponsive upon my arrival, and he was eventually transported by Troy EMS to Kettering Hospital to be evaluated. There are no charges at this time.

Oct. 27

BURGLARY: A deputy was dispatched to the 2500 block of S. State Route 201, Elizabeth Twp., location on a burglary in progress. After further investigation it was found that the listed suspect was still on the premises and had broken the glass out of the front door and was attempting to enter the residence. Leigh Ann Marburger was arrested for attempted burglary and criminal damage.

THEFT: A deputy responded to the Vault, in the 700 block of N. County Road 25-A, Concord Twp.in reference to a theft complaint. The victim stated he was involved in an altercation with two suspects that he believed stole numerous pieces of jewelry from him during the incident. This case is pending further investigation

THEFT: A deputy was dispatched in reference to a theft complaint in the 200 block of Shoop Road, Monroe Twp. Upon further investigation several tree service items were stolen.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A deputy responded to the 2000 block of N Alcony Conover Road in Lostcreek Twp. for criminal damage complaint. An underage family member consumed an alcoholic beverage at the residence and drove a Kawasaki Mule into a large rock in the front yard, causing significant damage to the vehicle. After speaking with all parties, no charges will be filed at this time.

GRIM REAPER GONE: A resident in the 1100 block of Spruce Street, Concord Twp. reported her 10-foot tall Grim Reaper blow-up decoration was stolen from her yard. The ropes were cut and it was unplugged .
