Troy Police Department reports

Information provided by the Troy Police Department:

Aug. 5

FRAUD: Officers took a report of an elderly victim defrauded out of $3,500.

CRIMINAL DAMAGING: An officer was dispatched to 910 Atlantic St. on a criminal damaging complaint. Complainant advised four windows had been broken out at this location.

PARKING LOT DRUG DEAL: An officer responded to F &P America on the report of a possible drug deal that had occurred in the parking lot. Security identified a former employee who came on to the property, left marijuana inside the gas door on a vehicle and then left with money. The employee who owned the car was stopped after retrieving the marijuana and was issued a summons for drug possession. The male, Michael Reck, 29, of Troy, who sold the employee the marijuana was later located and arrested for drug trafficking and drug possession.

Aug. 7

EGGED: An officer reported to the 1000 block of Skylark on a criminal damage / mischief complaint. The resident stated while he was cleaning out his car, a blue car with loud exhaust drove past him throwing eggs at him and his vehicle. The entire driver side rear inside door was covered with eggs as well as some of his left leg.

ASSAULT: An officer to the 3000 block of Redbud Drive where after a verbal argument between Jessica Shiverdecker and Shelby Bixler, Jessica punched Shelby in the face. Jessica was charged with assault.

PARK CURFEW: At 11:36 p.m.. an officer observed a car exit the Troy City Park after the Park Curfew.The driver, Jermaine Nicholas Djuan Reynolds stated he did not have a license. His license showed to be suspended for (2) Non Compliance Suspensions, Child Support Suspension, and a License Forfeiture Suspension. The officer also observed (6) Failure to Reinstate entries for 12 Point Suspension, Drug Offense Suspension, Court Suspensions, and Non Compliance Suspensions. The officer issued Jermaine a Citation for Driving Under Suspension and provided Jermaine and the passenger a verbal warning for Park Curfew. A licensed driver arrived and took control of the vehicle.

Aug. 8

OVI: An officer was dispatched to 1381 Sussex Road for a non injury crash. Troy Moore, 19, of Troy, was cited for reasonable control, OVI, and underage consumption.

WELFARE CHECK: Troy Police Department has been receiving calls to check the welfare of Larry Storck. During these dates the temperatures were in the high 80’s to mid 90’s with temperature indexes even higher. Larry would seldom seek the protection of the shade and would usually spend most of the day sitting in the direct sunlight. During this time Larry was living on the street in his wheel chair and sleeping in it on the sidewalks at night. Storck was hospitalized after investigation.

THEFT: An officer was dispatched to 172 S Ridge Avenue in reference to a theft in progress. After further investigation, Miami County Sheriff’s Office charged two juveniles with robbery and complicity to robbery since the incident occurred in their jurisdiction. Troy PD charged two juvenile females for Obstructing Justice and arrested one male juvenile with an active warrant.

THEFT: An officer responded to Kohl’s on a report of two juvenile females in custody for shop lifting. Both females were found still wearing the stolen merchandise and were escorted to a fitting room where the property was turned back over to Kohl’s associate. Both females parents were contacted, and when they arrived on scene were informed of the situation and theft summons being mailed for this theft act.

WARRANT: Officers were dispatched to 902 S Clay St in reference to a warrant for Robert Morton Jr. The officers had received information about this warrant several times, and a female at the location had refused entry to police. Upon the officers’ arrival, the front door was open. A female and child were on the porch. An officer could see the subject sitting just inside the open door.

As officers approached, the female went to close the door. She was to have Robert come out, as they just saw him sitting there. The officer got to the front door and she opened it up. The male was no longer sitting there. She stated, “He is not here.”

Suddenly, the male came from the kitchen. He came outside and was identified as Robert. The warrant was confirmed and he was arrested. The female was identified as Alisha Bryant. Officers transported Robert to the Incarceration Facility where he was turned over to C.O. Bonner and incarcerated.
