PIQUA — A drug-related search warrant resulted in two arrests in Piqua on Friday.
On Friday, July 27, the Miami County Sheriff’s detectives executed a search warrant on a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze automobile and a residence at 1717 DeBois Drive, Apt. A, Piqua, according to a press release. The search warrants were the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
The sheriff’s office seized a number of suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia, including eight pounds of marijuana, 10 ounces of cocaine, suspected Ecstasy pills, drug packaging materials, digital scales, other drug paraphernalia, approximately $5,000 in U.S. currency, and a loaded revolver.
The sheriff’s took two people into custody without incident. Jenna L. LeMaster, age 26, of Piqua and Damonte M. Pinkney, 30, of Los Angeles, Cali. were incarcerated in the Miami County Jail. LeMaster and Pinkney were both charged with first-degree felony trafficking in narcotics.
LeMaster and Pinkney were both arraigned in Miami County Municipal Court on Monday. They are continuing to be held in the jail on a bond of $100,000 each. Preliminary hearings for LeMaster and Pinkney are scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 2.
Additional charges may be forthcoming after consultation with the Miami County Prosecutor’s Office.
