PIQUA — The Echo Hills Ladies’ League is asking golfers in this area to participate in a nine-hole rally for the benefit of Franklin House in Troy. It will be held on July 14, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Echo Hills Golf Course in Piqua.
The league has decided that, instead of sending its contributions away to a national organization, to keep its benefits closer to home. They are requesting a donation of $20 to register for the rally and players will also need to pay greens fees at the course.
There will be a grand prize for the golfer who gets closest to the pin on the rally hole. There will also be a prize for each golfer who gets to the rally green in one shot, and whose golf ball stays on the green.
The rally will be followed by a picnic lunch at the snack shop at the golf course, with food provided by the ladies’ league. A sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board at Echo Hills.
