DJ’s Pizza Alley, 18 S. Second St., Tipp City — Follow-up for upright cooler. Observed upright cooler maintaining 41F or below at time of inspection. Monitor temperature daily.
Frisch’s Restaurant, 20 Troy Town Rd., Troy — Observed cooked sausage and cooked bacon in walk-in cooler without any date marking from the weekend, Date mark TCS, RTE foods and use withing seven days to limit germ growth. Observed food debris on slicer and tomato slicer. Clean equipment thoroughly to limit germ growth. Observed mold growth on shelves in walk-in cooler. Light shield is broken in walk-in refrigerator. Observed mop head in bottom of utility sink. Hang mop to allow to dry.
Harrison’s, 106 E. Main St., Tipp City — Observed bags of ice on floor of walk-in freezer. Keep food 6 inches off floor to prevent from contamination. Observed handle of ice scoop in ice at wait staff station. Observed unwrapped ribs on shelf in refrigerator. Observed no date marking on ribs, shrimp, or potatoes in refrigerator in different areas. Date mark all RTE, TCS foods to limit germ growth. Observed food debris on mixer guard, on handles of microwave and shelving on line. Clean more often.
K’s Hamburgers, 117 E. Main St., Troy — Replace wall material above one bay sink with water resistant material. Observed degrading wall material. Hall area with freezers must be tiled or have a smooth and cleanable surface installed over the cement floor. Observed vegetable slicer with green residual on blade areas. Clean. Observed food residual oil on equipment surfaces, on walls, and hard to reach areas/surfaces. Deep clean all food service areas when needed and frequently. If surfaces not cleanable, make surfaces smooth and easily cleanable.
McDonald’s, 1560 W. Main St., Troy — Ice scoop stored in freezer. Store ice scoop properly to prevent contamination.
Walmart Super Center, 1801 W. Main St., Troy — Observed a residential microwave in deli area near chicken area. Replace with health code approved microwave. Fix water leak in back near dairy cooler. Manager placed work order. Leak is in a pipe on ceiling.
West Milton IGA, 1177 S. Miami St., West Milton — Observed residential microwave and roaster. Replace food equipment with health code approved equipment.
Y’all’s Country Club, 1916 W. High St., Covington — No violations observed. Overall condition of the facility is good.
China Garden Buffet, 15 S. West Rd., Troy — Observed damaged floors and walls. Fix walls and floors and ensure tight and good repair surfaces. Deep clean all parts of mixer. Also clean all no food contact surfaces every 24 hours of food residual. This includes the inside of coolers. Clean ice build-up. Remember physical facility kitchen surface must be very intact and tight fitting wall and floors surface and base surfaces. Work on overall maintenance to ensure no areas for pests to hide. Caulk wall areas after securing. Remove any “Rubbermade” containers with food in them. Use approved containers.
CJ’s Pizza, 6929 U.S. Rt. 40, Tipp City — Satisfactory at time of inspection.
Fricker’s, 1187 Experiment Farm Rd., Troy — Previous issues resolved. Brute container must be food grade equipment to hold flour.
Tall Tales Inn, 6 W. Pike St., Laura — Follow-up reinspection of walk-in cooler. Walk-in cooler was holding proper temperature at time of inspection. Food was holding at 38F. Remember to monitor temperature of the food internally.
Tipp O’ the Town, 1150 W. Main St., Tipp City — Observed slaw at 50F and cottage cheese at 50F in wait refrigerator. TCS foods must be kept below 41F to limit germ growth. Refrigerator was set at 50F and turned down to 40F. Now holding temperature. The filters in hood are very dirty and need cleaned more often. Carpet in dining room still needs replaced.

Pearson House Restaurant, 28 N. Miami St., West Milton — Observed growth in ice machine. Clean more to prevent germ growth. Observed the mouth piece of plastic silverware up in container. Keep handles up to prevent contamination. Observed unshielded light in dry storage room.
M-U Bulldog Diner, 30 Lowry Dr., West Milton — Observed sanitizer cloths on prep surface sitting out. All wet sanitzer cloths must sit in sanitizer bucket between uses. Ensure thermometers are in coolers and easily seen or in a location that is easy to monitor. Check temperatures frequently. Deep clean cutting board on prep cooler in the back. Observed stained surface. Observed ice machine with inside residual. Clean when needed or every three months.
