Ministries at TLC

TROY – True Life Community Church invites the public to Sunday worship service at 10 a.m. Lead Pastor Chris Daum will present “Made for Missions.” Join us as we discover that everyone has been made for a life on mission.

The 2019 Troy Strawberry Festival Outreach Event will be on June 1 and 2. The even is free and offers inflatable jumpies, face painting, children’s play area, a baby changing area, and rest area with chairs and tents.

Ludlow Falls Camps include Kid’s Alive! (June 23-24), Kid’s Kamp (June 24-29), and Journey Youth Camp (July 21-27).

Vacation Bible Schools set

MIAMI COUNTY — The following Vacation Bible School’s have been set:

• PIQUA — Victory Baptist Church’s Backyard Bible Club will be held every Saturday in June from 10 a.m. to noon. This is for children in grades three through six.

• PLEASANT HILL — Pleasant Hill Church of God will hold Vacation Bible School from 9:30-11:30 a.m. from June 10-14 for children age 3 through sixth grade.

Their program will be Saddle Ridge Ranch where children will be riding the range and rounding up questions like, “What’s God’s plan for me” and “How can I be like Jesus?” The children will learn about God’s word through visiting Worship Rally Ranch, Rec at Mustang Mountain, Crafts at Blazing Star Stables, Bible Study at the Bunkhouse, Imagination Station at Campfire Creek and Snacks at Big Sky Grill.

Blood drives planned

MIAMI COUNTY — The following blood drives have been planned in Miami County. Everyone who registers to donate will receive the “My Courage Defines Me – I Donate Blood” t-shirt and a chance to win a YETI cooler and gear. Make an appointment online at www.DonorTime.com or call 1-800-388-GIVE.

Everyone who registers to donate with CBC from April 29 through Nov. 2 will be automatically entered in the grand prize drawing to win a custom YETI Adventure Package. It features a YETI Tundra Cooler, plus 27 genuine YETI accessories including a pair of Base Camp chairs.

Places to donate blood include:

• TIPP CITY — Voss Honda Tipp City will help boost the summer blood supply with a community blood drive Friday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Community Blood Center Bloodmobile will be at 155 South Garber Drive, Tipp City.

• TROY — The Troy Public Library will help boost the summer blood supply with a community blood drive Friday, June 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Community Blood Center Bloodmobile will be at 419 West Main St., Troy.

• TIPP CITY — Ginghamsburg Church will help boost the summer blood supply with a community blood drive Saturday, June 8 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon in the South Campus Chapel, 7695 South County Road 25-A, Tipp City.

Concert set

TROY — The Logan High School Chamber Singers will give a concert at 7 p.m. on June 10 at First Place at Troy First United Methodist Church, located at 110 W. Franklin St. in Troy. A freewill offering is requested. There is no admission fee.

The Chamber Singers are a 55-member choral group that has been recognized on local, state, and national levels. They were selected to be a part of the inaugural Music for All National Choir Festival in Indianapolis and also to perform the opening concert for the Ohio Choral Directors Association Summer Conference this June at Otterbein University.

The Chamber Singers will share their year-long concert theme “With Open Hearts” through song, speaking to love, charity, acceptance, and open-mindedness.

Garden dedication planned

TROY — The First United Church of Christ will dedicate their Prayer Garden Dedication at 6:30 p.m. on June 9 at 120 S. Market Street, Troy. The Prayer Garden is open to the community year round.

Concert planned

TROY — A Choir Concert will be held at First United Church of Christ at 7 p.m. on June 9. The First UCC Choir will be singing their hearts out as they join together to bring you a Choir Celebration! Join them in the sanctuary for a variety of toe tapping music for the entire family. The concert will immediately follow the Prayer Garden Dedication at 6:30 p.m. There will be refreshments and fellowship in the parlor afterward. Located at 120 S. Market Street, Troy. The Canal Street entrance is handicapped accessible. Free will donation.

Garage sale set

WEST MILTON — Hoffman United Methodist Church, 201 S. Main St., West Milton, will have its annual garage sale from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 13.

Most items are 25 cents. The church is handicapped accessible.
