Community welcome to share meal

TROY — The First United Church of Christ’s Share-A-Meal will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 5.

The menu includes breakfast casserole, biscuits, fruit slush and beverages.

Share-A-Meal aims to reach out to the community by providing meals and an opportunity to socialize with others in the community. The monthly Share-A-Meal program is held on the first Saturday of each month at First United Church of Christ on the corner of S. Market and Canal Streets in Troy. The Canal Street entrance is handicapped accessible.

Lenten programs held at St. Patrick

TROY — The community is invited to attend Lenten Sunday Enrichment for Adults (SEA) programs held in the church undercroft (409 E. Main St.) from 6-7:30 p.m.

March 6 — The Eucharist, source and summit of Christian life

March 13 — The Mass, how the Mass celebrated today links back to apostolic times

Sunday Drive to appear in Concert

PIQUA — Sunday Drive, a gospel trio, will perform at Bethel United Methodist Church at 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 6. Sunday Drive, from Knoxville, Tenn., travels across the country sharing the message of joy and hope in Jesus.

They have won more than 20 Entertainer and Vocal Group of the Year awards and were voted the 2013-2014 ICM Vocal Group of the Year. They have had many No. 1 songs in several areas and have performed at the Grand Ole Opry, Theme Parks, Riverboats and Festivals, sharing the stage with great artists as the Oak Ridge Boys, Tanya Tucker, Stella Parton and others.

Refreshments will be served following the concert. A free will offering will be collected.

Church to host free meal

FLETCHER — Fletcher United Methodist Church will host their Community Free Meal from 5-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8.

The menu includes sloppy joes, hot dogs, and soup. All are welcome to stop in for food and friendship.

Bishop to lead worship concert

FLETCHER — On Sunday, March 13, at 9:30 a.m., the Fletcher United Methodist Church will offer a morning worship concert presented by the renowned southern gospel singer/songwriter, Mark Bishop.

Thirty of Bishop’s compositions have landed in the Singing News magazine’s Top 40 Radio Airplay Chart, including 26 Top 20 songs and three No. 1 songs. The public is invited to attend.

First Baptist to host sportsman banquet

TROY — Special guest speaker Brad “The Jerman Buck” Jerman will share his hunting experiences. Jerman is an accomplished whitetail deer who and holds several crossbow records.

There will be seminars and workshops for men, women and children. Dinner will be served and guests will have a chance to win door prizes donated by local businesses.

The event will be held from 6-10 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, at First Baptist Church in Troy. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 each or $25 for a family of three or more.
