Center one of Troy’s best kept secrets

To the Editor:

My wife and I moved to Troy two years ago and we could not have made a better decision.

There are so many things for people to do to get involved and be a part of this community with all the different clubs, organizations, businesses, Hobart Arena, parks, events of all kinds, etc.

This is where I would like to tell you about the Senior Citizens Center of Troy, which I believe has been one of the best kept secrets in town. I don’t believe most people in Troy really know much about this center, so I would like to enlighten you.

First of all you can join at 55 years old! We have members from 55 to over 100 years old that belong. For some, this is all they have! It gives them a chance to get out, get involved, socialize and meet new people.

This organization has many activities which are: all kinds of card playing, billiards, bingo, line dancing, informational and social lunches, holiday parties, crafts, dominoes, health screenings, bible study, exercise classes, bus trips, entertainment, and a variety of guests speakers on various toppings.

Membership dues per year are $25. Not sure you will like it? You can come twice to check it out for free before joining if you decide to do so.

We have a facebook page under Troy Ohio Senior Citizens and trying to establish a web page that we hope will be up and running soon.

We hope that all 55 year olds and up will come see what you are missing.
