Ham will bring value to board seat

To the Editor:

Michael Ham is running for the Troy City School Board of Education on Nov. 3.

A Troy High School graduate with a bachelor of arts in urban affairs from Wright State University, serving on the Troy School Board is one way Michael feels he can show his appreciation for the outstanding education he received. Deeply committed to serving the Troy community. Michael’s involvement is unending. He is employed by the city of Troy working on special projects to maintain and improve our unique community.

In 2015, he was selected as the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Young Man of the Year and graduated from the Edison Academy of Community Leadership. He is a 2014 graduate of Leadership Troy.

Michael serves on numerous boards, including The Future Begins Today, Troy Noon Optimists, the Festival of Nations and the Miami County Republican Men’s Club.

As a former teacher, principal and central office administrator, I have seen Michael grow into an incredible young man who wants nothing more than to give back to the community that he credits for his many opportunities and accomplishments. Michaels high standards, intelligence and ability to articulate what he believes in would make him a valuable board member with a commitment to to maintaining the Troy City School’s quality of education and a vision for continued improvement as we move into our future.
