To the Editor:
Rule by one party is never desirable, especially in the form of a super majority which we have in both Houses of Congress in the state of Ohio.
A super majority never requires the party in power to work with the other side but simply allows their programs to be passed with impunity. Over time it leads to contempt of the very voters that elected them. Reference in our state the Speaker of the House resigning under a cloud. The ECOT scandal, which will end up costing Ohio taxpayers over $200 million.
Worst of all, officeholders without the fear of defeat because of gerrymandered districts oft times become lazy and disinterested in the will of the electorate. Election Day is Nov.6. Become involved . Learn what the candidates stand for. Give the opponent a chance. Most of all, vote.
