Cox endorses Duchak for sheriff

To the Editor:

I have had the pleasure of serving as your Miami County Sheriff for the past 28 years and as many of you may know, I will not be seeking re-election as I have chosen to retire.

The office I have built over my seven terms as sheriff is one that I believe is staffed with some of the finest men and women in law enforcement. They have also dedicated themselves to this community and are committed to our mission of providing professional law enforcement services. It is my desire that the values and professionalism you have come to expect from my office continue after my departure. I ask for your support and consideration to elect Chief Deputy Dave Duchak as your next sheriff.

Chief Deputy Duchak has risen through the ranks and has distinguished himself as a competent and professional leader. He embodies the values and practices in which my office has been built.

I am proud of the staff and employees I have served with over the last 28 years. I have enjoyed my time as sheriff and will always value the experience. None of this would have been possible without your support. I humbly urge you to vote for Dave Duchak for the next sheriff of Miami County.
