WEST ALEXANDRIA — The Miami East girls basketball has stuggled to score in back-to-back losses to West Liberty-Salem and Anna.

Thursday, the Vikings didn’t have any of those issues.

Miami East (3-4) jumped out to a 14-point lead after one quarter and never looked back, putting three players in double figures in a 68-22 victory at Twin Valley South in Cross County Conference play Thursday night.

Bailey Miller hit five of the Vikings’ eight 3-pointers on the night and led the way with 17 points, Amber Kinnison scored 16 and Haley Howard added 12 as the Vikings took a 17-3 lead after one and outscored the Panthers 22-4 in the second quarter to take a 39-7 halftime lead, coasting to the easy win from there.

Camryn Miller chipped in seven points, Emily Hawkins and Kaitlyn Mack each scored five, Gabrille Hawkins scored four and Savannah Nehring had two.

The Vikings face another tough test Saturday, though, when they travel to Versailles.
