TROY — A house fire in the 300 block of Vincent Ave., off County Road 25-A, at the south end of the city, caused heavy damage to the front of the structure late Friday.

Firefighters were dispatched just after 11:30 p.m. Friday to the two-story rental property. A Troy police officer arrived minutes after the alarm and reported heavy smoke coming from the front of the residence and flames from the rear.

No one was home at the time the blaze broke out.

A phone call was made to the Troy Fire Department on Saturday afternoon, but no details were released as of press time.

Last April, local law enforcement assisted with a raid the Vincent Street home. According to Miami County Sheriff’s Office Major Steve Lord, the sheriff’s office assisted the Montgomery County RANGE Task Force with a raid at the Troy home, but declined to comment further. Ohio State Highway Patrol also assisted in the raid.

No further details were released regarding the activity at the home by law enforcement officials.
