TROY — A multiple-vehicle crash in Troy resulted one woman being taken to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon.
Troy police, fire, and medic units responded to the 1500 block of West Main Street around 3 p.m. on the report of a crash with one vehicle on its top.
Witnesses believed there were three vehicles involved. One of the vehicles, driven by an elderly female, overturned and landed on its top. Bystanders and Troy medics were able to assist the woman in exiting her vehicle. Police say the woman, whose name had not been released by Wednesday evening, was at fault in the accident, and will be charged.
She was taken by ambulance to UVMC for treatment. Another medic unit was called to check out the drivers of the other vehicles.
Troy police continue to investigate the crash.
West Main Street was closed while the crash was investigated and cleared with traffic being re-routed around adjacent streets.
