Christmas tree arrives downtown

The 42-foot blue spruce was donated by Troy resident Fred Young. The tree was originally planted by Young’s grandson as a third-grade Earth Day project at Young’s residence in 1990. The tree will be officially lit during the Grand Illumination ceremony on Friday, Nov. 23.
